Swire Oilfield Services wins major contract with Weatherford

Swire Oilfield Services have won a five-year contract with Weatherford International plc, an oil and gas service company, for work in Brazil. According to the contract, the Swire Oilfield Services will provide DNV 2.7-1 cargo carrying units to Weatherford.

Following a year-long tender process, the contract has been awarded to ensure the safe offshore transportation and storage of project critical equipment.

Challenging logistics in Brazil

This is an important contract for Swire Oilfield Services in a key growth market where 85 personnel have already been employed in Rio de Janeiro and Macaé. This is exemplary of the company’s aim to maintain the development of its services to help clients in the region deal with increasingly challenging logistics.
