A round-up of some recent appointments in the oil and gas industry.

John Carnall, Senior Vice President, Global Lifecycle Support, MacGregor

John Carnall (52) has been appointed Senior Vice President for the Global Lifecycle Support Division in MacGregor, part of Cargotec.

"John Carnall will focus on developing our services and building a world-class service organisation to drive profitable growth. He is an ideal choice for this important position due to his long experience and proven track-record in developing successful and growing service business in several different global environments," says Mika Vehviläinen, President and CEO, Cargotec.

Michael Marion and Cormac Kerins, Atlas Copco Portable Energy Canada

Michael Marion and Cormac Kerins have been appointed to new positions with Atlas Copco Portable Energy Canada, effective immediately. Marion has been appointed National Business Development Manager and Kerins is now the Product and Business Development Manager.

Marion will manage the power generation which includes both prime power generators and light towers while Kerins will focus on the portable air products, including compressors and boosters as well as pumps. Both managers will report to Michael Sue, Vice President And Business Line Manager for Atlas Copco Portable Energy Canada.

Chris Hardie, Finance Director, Survivex

Leading oil and gas training provider Survivex has made a further appointment at board level as the company transitions to a period of international growth and development.

Chris Hardie, who joined the company as Financial Controller, was promoted to Finance Director in September. Mr Hardie will be responsible for providing specialist support and guidance to the Board in all aspects of Company finance and accounting, as well as managing the day to day activities of the finance team.

Survivex CEO Andrew Green said, “I’m delighted to announce that Chris Hardie will further strengthen our team at a senior level. Chris has refined company financial procedures to produce improved accounting analysis and reports. Chris joins the board at an exciting time for the company as we continue to invest in new products and services, and look towards the global stage to better serve the needs of our clients”.

Dwayne Doucet and Todd Whitley, Drilling Services of America

Drilling Services of America (DSA), the complete thru-tubing specialist, has added Dwayne Doucet as Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Director and Todd Whitley as Senior Technical Advisor.

Doucet will be responsible for the continuous development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures. He will oversee the company’s safety program and maintain a high level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness while creating a culture that priorities safety.

As Senior Technical Advisor, Whitley’s responsibilities will include proposal preparations, drafting procedures, technical input during spud meetings along with pre-job planning and additional technical support. He will also be involved in DSA’s in-house training program.

Mike Branchflower, Global Sales Manager – Flow Assurance, Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies

Guildford and Aberdeen based Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies has appointed Mike Branchflower as Global Sales Manager – Flow Assurance, to assist with the firm’s growth and development plans for its LedaFlow multiphase flow simulator.

“I’m extremely impressed with Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies and LedaFlow. The company’s leadership in oil & gas technology development is clearly evident and LedaFlow is a testament to this. I am delighted to have joined Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies and am looking forward to growing the LedaFlow business,” said Branchflower.

Andrew Howell, Chief Executive Officer, KBC Advanced Technologies

KBC Advanced Technologies, a leading consultancy and software provider to the upstream and downstream hydrocarbon industries, today announces the appointment of Andrew Howell as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 January 2015. Ian Godden, currently Executive Chairman, will return to his role as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board.

Andrew Howell commented, "I am honoured to be appointed to lead this successful technology-based software and consulting group into the next stage of its growth, and I will be supported by a highly talented leadership team and organisation.
