Qatargas-1 to shut down in April for maintenance
Qatargas are planning to shutdown the Qatrgas-1 LNG train this April for routine maintenance. The plant will be shut for three weeks to coincide with the summer downturn in demand.
The Qtargas-1 LNG liquefaction train consists of three onshore LNG trains and has a combined capacity of 10 million tpy.
'This is a normal planned shutdown,' Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Thani told Reuters. 'All at the same time,' he added regarding whether all three trains, each with a capacity of 3.2 million tpy, would shut together. Qatargas has a total capacity of 42 million tpy.
