Interoil Colombia E&P and SLS (farming partner) are pleased to announce the testing of the three layers targeted in Vikingo with the following results: lower C7 has steadily produced 180 bpd of formation fluids with 40% water cut (net oil of 108 bpd 25 API) through artificial lift, then upper C7 did not produce and finally C5 has naturally produced 744 bpd of oil (27 API) with 0.5% water cut.
The well is currently shut-in to record downhole pressure build up for further reservoir analysis to adequate the most suitable production string to be left in the well for production.
Leandro Carbone, CEO, commented: We are very excited with the Vikingo results because it untapped a new oil province in the Llanos basin where further geological and geophysical work would be undertaken to up-date and fully appraise the remaining potential identified in Lla-47.
