Rumours of price fixing by Chesapeake and Encana

Allegations of price fixing by Chesapeake and Encana have arisen as emails have been circulated showing how the two companies planned to avoid bidding against each other in Michigan land auctions.

 

Rio Tinto makes first coal shipment from Mozambique

Rio Tinto has started exporting hard coking coal from its Benga Mine in the Moatize Basin in Mozambique. The first shipment of 34 000 t left the Port of Beira on 25th June, bound for an Indian steel mill.
