Royal Dutch Shell’s CEO to speak at IP Week 2015

Ben van Beurden, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Dutch Shell, will be the Guest of Honour and keynote speaker at the International Petroleum (IP) Week dinner on 12 February 2015.

Organised by the Energy Institute (EI), IP Week is one of the leading forums for the oil and gas industry to share knowledge and good practice. Next year’s event will be held in London from Tuesday 10 February to Thursday 12 February 2015.

The IP Week dinner is one of the largest gatherings of the oil and gas industry and forms a key part of the proceedings, with over 1300 guests from all over the world attending every year. Conference sessions will include discussions on the future directions for the industry, including strategies for unlocking opportunities in upstream and downstream, outlook for supply and demand, as well as regional updates on Russia, Africa and the Asia-Pacific.

Ben van Beurden became Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 January 2014. He joined Shell in 1983, after graduating with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Mr van Beurden’s career at Shell spans both upstream and downstream activities and he has been a member of the Executive Committee since January 2013.
