Wood Group Mustang, a global project management, engineering, procurement, and construction operations company, today announced that three Alberta-based Wood Group companies – IMV Projects, Wood Group PSN Western Canada and Mustang Canada – are merging to create Wood Group Mustang’s new presence in Canada.
New presence in Canada
Wood Group Mustang now offers expanded and enhanced engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services to the Canadian and broader North American energy services markets.
The company’s Canadian operations are a central part of a team of 8000 professionals worldwide who provide EPCM services across the total lifecycle of projects.
This important milestone for the business in Canada enhances the company’s capabilities by offering customers expanded services from a Canadian office, including access to cost-effective work share centres and the talents of highly-specialised resources.
Ongoing commitment to Canada
“We are pleased to be launching Wood Group Mustang in Canada. Wood Group Mustang has been a world-class provider of EPCM services to the global energy market for over 25 years. We believe that the continued growth of our business in Canada requires the efficiency of local project delivery, supported by the reach of a global network. Most importantly, in our ongoing commitment to improving customer service, diversified services can now be offered from our Canadian office, including award-winning expertise in pipelines, automation, upstream/downstream facilities and shale developments. We also aim to leverage expertise in shale delivery in the U.S. and offer these services to our Canadian clients, including cross-border solutions,” says Kevin O’Brien, Regional Director Canada, Wood Group Mustang and formerly president, IMV Projects.
“Wood Group Mustang in Canada is a 1000 person strong organisation, and this is a very proud day for everyone. Our commitment to our people and our reputation as a top workplace will continue to be a strong differentiator. The Wood Group Mustang team is a well-positioned supplier to the rapidly-evolving North American energy services market,” adds Steve Knowles, president, Wood Group Mustang.
