With the greater sensitivity and range enabled by Helios Quasar, operators will benefit from:
- Improved Vertical Seismic Profiling (VSP) and seismic data acquisition.
- Enhanced production monitoring.
- Clearer identification of well integrity issues.
Combining Fotech’s phase-coherent Distributed Acoustic Sensor (DAS) technology with enhanced backscatter fibres, Helios Quasar provides significant sensitivity, resolution and signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) – enabling high quality seismic imaging at greater well depths and the acquisition of finer-grain data for fluid and sand production.
Advanced photonics and AI systems enable Helios Quasar to provide more meaningful seismic and microseismic data. It also delivers dynamic real time information to operatives in deeper and horizontal wells.
Chris Shannon, CEO, Fotech Solutions, said: “Optimised for upstream operations, and utilising specially-designed fibres, the Helios Quasar solution delivers enhanced performance for in-well monitoring and reservoir management. Gathering intelligence on your downhole assets has never been more straightforward.”
