Total has announced the discovery of hydrocarbons in the southern portion of the Oil Prospecting Licence (OPL) 223, offshore Southeastern Nigeria.

US EPA delays ruling on coal ash
The US EPA has delayed its decision on regulating coal ash waste from power plants. A decision was expected before the end of the year but, due to the complexity of the analysis involved, the agency is still actively working on parts of the proposal.
