World’s first LNG fuelled tanker in operation

Bit Viking, which is owned by Sweden's Tarbit Shipping, was converted under supervision from Germanischer Lloyd (GL) and now qualifies for lower nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission taxes under the Norwegian government's NOx fund scheme.

 

Infinis & ExxonMobil agree gas engine oil supply & technical partnership

Infinis, a leading generator of renewable power in the UK, has agreed a three year contract with ExxonMobil to help optimise the gas engines operating across Infinis’ 123 landfill gas (LFG) generating sites in the UK. The contract will see the continuation of a working relationship which has been in place for over 15 years.

 

San Leon announces well completion in Baltic Basin

San Leon has announced the successful completion of its first shale gas exploration well in the Baltic Basin. The Talisman Energy operated Lewino 1G-2 well, on the Gdansk W Concession in Poland, has been drilled to 3600 m.

 
 

Cheniere signs 20 year supply deal with Gas Natural Fenosa

Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. has entered into a LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Gas Natural Aprovisionamientos, a subsidiary of Gas Natural Fenosa, under which Gas Natural Fenosa has agreed to purchase 3.5 million tpa of LNG over a 20 year period.
