DOE approves two FTA exports
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has approved two LNG export applications for the supply of LNG to free trade agreement (FTA) countries located in the Caribbean and Central America.
The DOE granted export permits to Advanced Energy Solutions (AES) and Argent Marine Management (Argent).
AES plans to export up to 8 billion ft3/year of domestically produced LNG to Honduras over a period of 25 years. Argent will export up to 1 billion ft3/year of LNG to an unconfirmed end-user in the Caribbean for the same period of 25 years.
