Pharos Energy withdraws interest in Shell's Western Desert assets

Pharos Energy has announced its withdrawal from a consortium evaluating the acquisition of Shell's upstream portfolio in the Western Desert in Egypt.

The company has said that in light of current market conditions an acquisition is unlikely to be in shareholders’ best interests.
