FES International to supply DBSC to Subsea 7
UK oil and gas engineering firm FES International has been awarded a contract by Subsea 7 for the supply of fully automated Diverless Bend Stiffener Connectors (DBSCs).
DBSCs are one of FES’s most successful product lines and this is the 10th fully automatic end fitting release system DBSC.
DBSCs enable the quick, efficient and cost-effective installation of bend stiffeners on offshore deepsea drilling operations. The manufacture of the DBSCs is currently underway at FES International UK headquarters in Northumberland, UK.
New North Sea project
Ian Latimer, Technical Director at FES International, said: “We have previously worked with Subsea 7 on a number of fields. Repeat orders are the biggest endorsement that a customer can give us, so it’s great to be on board for another exciting new North Sea project.
“Our ability to design and install DBSCs in projects with extremely tight space constraints demonstrates how versatile our DBSC system can be for our clients.”
