Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Renato Maroli, Director General of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) have signed an agreement between KazRosGas and KPO in Astana. The long-term sales and purchase contract is for nearly 9 billion m3/yr of gas from the Karachaganakskoye gas and condensate field.

The agreement guarantees additional exports of 120 to 135 billion m3 of gas to the Orenburg gas processing plant and also provides long-term supplies to the domestic market of Kazakhstan, in particular, by means of swap transactions.
