Genesis awarded upstream concept selection scope by BG Group

Genesis has announced that it has been awarded the Upstream Concept Select Study by BG Group, as operator of Blocks 1, 3 & 4, for their project in Tanzania. These large gas discoveries are located in water depths between 1000 and 1800 m and will be developed via an onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant.

The Genesis scope of work includes:

  • Consideration of the upstream facilities.
  • Both concept selection and pre-FEED (front-end engineering and design) activities.

The study will be performed with the client team resident in Genesis’ London Headquarters in St Paul's.
