Technical engineering services specialist, Fircroft, has secured a major five-year contract with oil and gas multinational, Exxon.

The deal will see Fircroft act as sole supplier for the organisation, providing it with around 250 business services contractors for its operations on Sakhalin Island, Russia.

CEO of Fircroft, Johnathan Johnson, comments:

“This is a significant contract for us and highlights the fantastic work that we deliver to the global energy sector. We’ve worked with Exxon for over 10 years but this new deal will make us one of the firm’s key suppliers over the coming years. Congratulations go to everyone that was involved in the bid, which was led by Inna Umnikova, along with the transition team that’s currently in place in Russia to ensure that the changeover runs smoothly.”

“The island is now a key strategic location in the global energy markets and essentially represents a gateway to the East and the Pacific Ocean. We’re managing roles across a number of areas in business support including finance, drilling operations, safety management and production operation amongst many others. We’re providing support services for almost all parts of ExxonNeftegas’ business in Sakhalin which reinforces the point that the firms’ senior management has made, that they now view us a critical business partner on par with major service providers like Schlumberger."
