Meta wins Africa oil and gas award for innovation
Meta’s unique downhole isolation technology, Metalmorphology, and its suite of well isolation products, recently won the Innovation of the Year Award at the 2014 Africa Oil & Gas Awards.
The award recognises the contribution that Meta’s well integrity products are making to the global deepwater and ultra-deepwater drilling sectors. With its patented Metalmorphology technology, Meta offers reduced risk and production optimisation to deliver more profitable and productive wells.
Commenting on the award, Meta CEO, Kevin Stewart, said: “Well integrity is one of the biggest issues facing the offshore oil and gas sector. Both regulators and operators alike are pushing for high quality well architectures along with strong structural and casing integrity, vital for the future success and profitability of a well.
“With the ability to deliver gas-tight, axial load bearing, metal-to-metal seals our technology has redefined what’s possible in well integrity and meets these industry demands.”
