Wood Group awarded US$700 million contract by Tengizchevroil

Wood Group is providing main automation contractor (MAC) services to Tengizchevroil (TCO) for the Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project at the Tengiz Field in Kazakhstan. Wood Group’s vendor- independent Automation & Control business will provide optimal integrated process and safety solutions to TCO under a multi-year contract valued at approximately US$700 million. Wood Group has been supporting the project since 2013.
“We are combining the global expertise and capabilities of our Automation & Controls personnel in the UK, US, Argentina and Kazakhstan to deliver the complex systems needed for this world-class field and expansion project,” stated Robin Watson, chief executive of Wood Group. “The automation scope of the Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project is one of the world’s largest industrial automation projects and we are pleased to be providing the solution that will help to enable TCO to meet its vision of a ‘flawless startup’.
