Gazprom’s Urengoyskoye field reaches full design capacity

Oilfield Technology,

Gazprom reports that the first stage of the Urengoyskoye field within the Samburgskiy license area developed by SeverEnergia (a joint venture between NOVATEK and OAO Gazprom Neft) has reached its full design capacity of approximately 7 billion m3 of natural gas and 2.5 million tpy of gas condensate.

Targeting the Achimov deposits

Thirty production wells, including 18 horizontals, are currently in operation at the field. The wells target the Achimov deposits, which are characterised by relatively high depth (approximately 3700 m) and high share of gas condensate in the hydrocarbon flow. The field’s infrastructure also includes gas and gas condensate treatment facilities, gas gathering lines, gas and gas condensate pipelines for external transportation and housing facilities.

Installation and testing of equipment for the second stage of the field development is being currently finalised.

The Urengoyskoye field

SeverEnergia via its fully consolidated subsidiary Arcticgas holds the development and production licenses for the Samburgskiy, Yevo-Yakhinskiy, Yaro-Yakhinskiy and North-Chaselskiy license areas.

As of 31 December 2013, the proved reserves of the Urengoyskoye field within the Samburgskiy license area were estimated at 214 billion m3 of natural gas and 52 million tpy of gas condensate according to the SEC standards.

Mantl-Core and the moment hazardous area inspection finally changed

Every so often, an industry reaches a point where it becomes clear that the old way of working is no longer enough. Not because people lack competence or commitment, but because the tools have failed to evolve at the same pace as the responsibility placed upon them. For hazardous area inspection, that moment is now!
