Marianne Abib-Pech, Former CFO of Shell Aviation and GE Alumni, is officially launching LeadTheFuture, a leadership firm focused on developing emerging leaders with a strong focus on the oil and gas and Private Equity/Asset Management sectors.

LeadTheFuture is a leadership ‘laboratory’ created for executives by executives, dedicated to new models of leadership, young population, women and entrepreneurs.

The oil and gas industry represents around 2.5% of the GDP worldwide and is facing unprecedented challenges.

“The increased need to drill in hostile environments and fast depleting reserves requires leadership to be at the forefront of everyone’s mind. Limited access to oil and increased necessity for partnership structures create a sense of urgency to transform leadership in the oil and gas industry,” explains Marianne, Founder of LeadTheFuture.

“The oil and gas leaders of tomorrow need to be able to respond to the specificity of the industry and combine: a solid technical knowledge, a deep understanding of the macro economical and political trends, supreme influencing skills, The above to be complemented with inter-cultural sensitivity and innovative capabilities, and we believe we can help!”  She concludes.

The company offers a range of services including talks, workshops, as well as full leadership programs channelling the considerable experience of its founder in the industry and leadership, - she is the Author of the Financial Times Guide to Leadership - How to lead effectively and get results.

LeadTheFuture’s USP lies in the way in which the company helps these leaders develop towards their fullest potential, as the services are customised for each client and each situation.

“I use the term laboratory because what we do is truly unique,” Marianne Abib-Pech explains, “we are not a training company, we are not a coaching company, we are not a consulting company. We are problem-solving company. Every company will have almost a unique set of issues to be solved, the ones they think they know about and the ones they actually do not see.”

Using a highly customisable approach with shareholder’s value creation in mind, LeadTheFuture’s leadership development services are based on its executive’s extensive experience in the oil and gas and multidimensional skillsets, from finance and strategy, to writing, investing and entrepreneurship.

“Before we can even begin working on a new project, we first invest time to assess whether we are what the client needs or is looking for. We are a lab because, we investigate, we think, we adjust and we create every time,” says Marianne.

LeadTheFuture’s endorsers and clientele includes highly successful individuals and global institutions such as Tom Peters, Bombardier and UBS.

Enrique Garcia, Chairman of Foreign Investment Council in Latvia says, “LeadTheFuture embodies ‘walking the talk’. They not only brought their extensive professional experience, or their insightful way of simplifying the complex formula for effective leadership, but also, and more importantly, they brought an open mind and a strong personal commitment to make a real difference with their contributions to our what we are trying to achieve with the Latvian Government. We, in FICIL, are really looking forward to a productive collaboration with LeadTheFuture in the years to come!”
