Petrobras reports that its total oil and natural gas production in July was 2.74 million boe/d, 2.63 million boe/d of which produced in Brazil and 114 000 boe/d produced abroad.
The average oil production in the country was 2.12 million barrels per day (bpd), a volume 3.3% lower than in June. This result is due mainly to the scheduled stoppage of platform P-58, which operates in the Jubarte, Baleia Anã, Baleia Azul, and Baleia Franca fields, in the Campos Basin.
Meanwhile, natural gas production in Brazil, excluding the liquefied volume, was 80 million m³/d, 0.4% below the previous month.
Pre-salt production
In July, the oil and natural gas production operated by Petrobras (wholly-owned and partner shares) in the pre-salt layer was 1.61 million boed, a volume 4.3% lower than the previous month. This result is due mainly to the scheduled stoppage of P-58.
Oil and gas production abroad
Oil production in overseas fields was 65 thousand bpd in July, in line with the previous month. Natural gas production was 8.4 million m³/d, 2.9% above the volume produced in June. This increase resulted mainly from higher demand for Bolivian gas.
