ONGC completes 33 MODU rig moves

ONGC executed 33 mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) rig moves in mid-March, April and May. 31 were on the west coast and 2 were on the east coast.Aqualis Offshore assisted with most of the rig moves, placing each on its respective monsoon location before the onset of the seasonal adverse weather conditions.
“This is an impressive milestone in Indian Offshore operations and is a tribute to the professionalism of all involved,” commented Rodger Dickson, Group Marine Director, Aqualis Offshore.
In May 2016, United India Insurance Co. reappointed Aqualis Offshore to provide marine warranty services to the ONGC’s assets offshore India.
Pursuant to the agreement, Aqualis Offshore will provide marine warranty services to ONGC’s fleet of jack-up rigs and MOPUs in Indian waters.
