Sound Energy, the European/Mediterranean focused upstream gas company, has provided an update on the Nervesa discovery, onshore Italy. The company has now completed the second static profile referred to in its 14 March 2016 announcement. This static profile has confirmed a continued reduction in reservoir pressure which suggests that not all completed reservoir levels are in production. As a result, the company intends, subject to UNMIG consent, to shut-in the well early next month and to plan for a remedial re-perforation of selected layers of the reservoir in due course.
The company will also evaluate the possibility of a potential updip sidetrack of the well.
