Norwegian oil and gas production figures: April 2014

Oilfield Technology,

Preliminary production figures for April 2014 indicate an average daily production of approximately 1 918 000 bbls of oil, NGL and condensate. This is 30 000 bpd (1.5%) less than in March 2014.

Total gas sales were approximately 9.0 billion m3, 1.4 billion m3 less than the previous month.

The average daily liquid production in April was 1 526 000 bbls of oil, 315 000 bbls of NGL and 77 000 bbls of condensate. The oil production is 4% higher than NPD’s prognosis for April and 2% higher than oil production in April 2013.

The Skuld field had reduced production in April due to technical problems.

So far this year the oil production is on level with the NPD’s prognosis.

The total petroleum production for the first four months of 2014 is approximately 75.6 million m3 of oil equivalent. This can be broken down as follows: 29.3 million m3 of oil, 7.8 million m3 of NGL and condensate and 38.5 million m3 of gas for sale. The total oil volume is 1.3 million m3, approximately 5% higher than for the same period in 2013.

Final production figures from March 2014 show an average daily production of approximately 1.525 million bbls of oil, 0.422 million bbls of NGL and condensate and a total of 10.4 billion m3 saleable gas production.
