Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) has signed a coal bed methane (CBM) Sales Agreement with Walloons Coal Seam Gas Company Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of BG Group plc., the owner of the Curtis LNG Project. TTC will supply CBM over 20 years from ATP651P block (*2) (TTC has 15% equity), which can serve as feed gas for Curtis LNG.
The Curtis LNG project in Queensland, Australia will be the first LNG project in the world to derive all of its feedgas from CBM.
TTC have also made the decision to engage in a CBM development program at ATP651P with about AU$ 300 Million investment including the acquisition price as a result of the new sales agreement with BG Group.
