Tap Oil Limited (Tap or the Company) provides the following update on drilling activities at the Manora Oil Field in the Northern Gulf of Thailand permit G1/48 (Tap 30% interest). Mubadala Petroleum (Thailand) Ltd is the operator of the G1/48 concession.
Development Drilling Results
The well was drilled from the Manora platform. The primary objective of the well was to provide a northern updip production point in the 490-60 reservoir that was found in MNA-18.
On 8 June 2018 at 18:15 hrs WST, the MNA-21 development well reached final total depth of 2164 m MDRT. Petrophysical interpretation of well logs shows a total net oil pay of 56 ft. The main objective 490-60 sand is developed in the updip location with 44 ft net pay. One additional sand at the 500 level encountered 12 ft net pay.
Forward Plan
Casing has been set and a suspension string will be run in hole pending well completion. Following the completion of drilling of the MNA-21 well, the rig has skidded and commenced drilling the MNA-20 development well. Following the drilling of both wells the rig will undertake a completion program to install selective zone completions with electric submersible pumps for production.
