Baker Hughes announces December 2014 rig counts

Baker Hughes Incorporated has announced that the international rig count for December 2014 was 1313, down 11 from the 1324 counted in November 2014, and down 22 from the 1335 counted in December 2013. The international offshore rig count for December 2014 was 338, down 3 from the 341 counted in November 2014, and up 32 from the 306 counted in December 2013.

The average US rig count for December 2014 was 1882, down 43 from the 1925 counted in November 2014, and up 111 from the 1771 counted in December 2013. The average Canadian rig count for December 2014 was 375, down 46 from the 421 counted in November 2014, and up 3 from the 372 counted in December 2013.

The worldwide rig count for December 2014 was 3570, down 100 from the 3670 counted in November 2014, and up 92 from the 3478 counted in December 2013.
