SPE ICoTA European Well Intervention Conference call for abstracts

The SPE ICoTA 20th European Well Intervention Conference is calling on businesses to submit abstracts for this year’s event taking place on 12 - 13 November in Aberdeen, Scotland. The event is Europe’s leading forum for exchange and discussion of the latest developments in well intervention and completion techniques.

ICoTA is encouraging businesses to share their technology developments, operational case histories and experience with industry peers by submitting abstracts on relevant topics. Presentations will be welcomed on relevant subjects such as intervention techniques and technology, completion systems and well integrity and abandonment operations.

Nominations for the European Chapter Innovation Award

Businesses also have the chance to enter nominations for the European Chapter Innovation Award with the winner being announced at the conference. The award recognises a service company or operator for the application of technical innovation in the area of well intervention. Judging criteria includes technology, application and value to industry and will be judged by the ICoTA European Chapter Committee.

ICoTA Chair Kelly Murray, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting our 20th European Well Intervention Conference. The event is now a regular fixture in the oil and gas industry calendar and allows businesses to really share their knowledge and experience in order to push the boundaries of well intervention.

“The conference is a fantastic opportunity for companies to showcase exciting developments or technologies giving attendees a fascinating insight into their experience in the field. We’re also delighted to be awarding our Innovation Award at the this years’ conference, I know we’ll receive some great nominations and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top.”

Submission details

Businesses can submit their 200 word abstracts to www.icota-europe.com or submit to SPE ICoTA 2014 event organiser, Rodger and Co, before 31 July 2014.

European Chapter award nominations must be submitted by 23 September 2014 and can also be submitted through www.icota-europe.com or submit to SPE ICoTA 2014 event organiser, Rodger and Co.
