Global learning technology and skills provider, Atlas Knowledge has pioneered a solution to manage competency and minimise risk in the Oil and Gas industry.
Atlas’ new Competency Assurance Management System (CAMS) is an exclusively electronic system that has the capability to manage and track the competence of employees in a simple and flexible way.
Developed with expertise from a 100-people-strong industry advisory group, Atlas CAMS is an easy-to-use, intuitive online assessment and training management system where all data surrounding employees, from training requirements to monitoring staff performance, can be tracked and optimised.
Significantly, Atlas CAMS offers businesses a clear way to demonstrate competence in the workplace as well as help to reinforce the importance of training and consistently developing highly competent staff within organisations.
CAMS can also be accessed remotely as a cloud hosted solution that will offer a heightened degree of flexibility to businesses that are based in several different locations across the world.
Competency Consultant at Atlas, Bianca Parnaby said:
“Training in the Oil and Gas industry is as vital today as it as ever been and this new software offers a way to manage competency more effectively. It tracks individuals’ training and their increasing competence, and provides a forum for effective communication to motivate and support each candidate.
“CAMS reduces costs by cutting down on administration, travel time, and the time and effort spent by candidates submitting evidence. It allows greater flexibility for assessors and provides real-time information for more effective team management. Global and regional dashboards show individuals’ competence instantly, wherever they might be. It is fully auditable and scalable, and will integrate with existing HR and Learning Management Systems.”
