Shelf Drilling receives extension on jack-up rig for Egypt operations

Shelf Drilling, Ltd. has secured a one-year contract extension for the Trident 16 jack-up rig in direct continuation of its current term with Belayim Petroleum Co. for operations in the Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt.

The Trident 16 has been working with Petrobel in Belayim fields since 2015, and following this extension, the expected availability of the rig is February 2021.

Saipem announces that Aker BP has exercised a new option to extend the contract for the semi-submersible drilling unit Scarabeo 8, prolonging its deployment for an additional year.
