Record orders for offshore systems supplier MacArtney UK

Offshore systems supplier MacArtney UK has achieved its best order entry month in July reaching a record-breaking £3.5 million.

The Dyce-based firm produces a wide range of offshore marine equipment ranging from electric winches, cables, connectors, underwater cameras, slip-rings and electronics. 

This positive trend was also seen at a group level with new order bookings for the worldwide MacArtney Group exceeding DKK 110 million (£12 million) during the same period. The global firm has its international headquarters in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Oil and gas hub

MacArtney UK currently employs 52 members of staff in Aberdeen. Managing Director David Buchan said that the recent successful period could mean further recruitment for the business.

 “We expect to increase our headcount over the next few months as part of our growth strategy outlined earlier in the year. We hope to reach around 65 employees by the end of 2015. Successful sales periods like the one we have experienced will only go towards encouraging and motivating our talented workforce,” said Buchan.

MacArtney UK offers design, engineering, project management resources backed by the global MacArtney network. The company can design and deliver complex system solutions for applications in all marine market sectors. Projects combine expertise in winches, cables, slip rings, terminations, fibre optics, design and construction.
