Oilfield Technology,

Just twelve months after starting operations, Aqualis Offshore has established 12 offices in nine countries worldwide.

“China has a growing offshore oil and gas industry and a number of quality offshore construction yards which are increasingly becoming strong competitors to the South Korean and Singapore yards. We are setting up a permanent presence to service the offshore industry and to support a growing list of oil companies and rig owners who utilise the yards in Shanghai and elsewhere in China,” says Phil Lenox, director – Asia Pacific, Aqualis Offshore.

Since mid-2013, a team of seven from Aqualis Offshore’s Singapore office has been on-site in China working on a construction supervision project.

Lenox mentions construction supervision, marine warranty, jack-up trials and commissioning, transportation and rig moving as the Shanghai office’s main fields of activity. It will also offer engineering design services with support from Aqualis Offshore’s other offices.

Aqualis Offshore is a specialised marine and offshore engineering consultancy focusing on the shallow and deepwater offshore segments of the oil and gas industry.  Its core services include concept, FEED and basic design engineering for upgrades and conversions of jack-ups, rigs and other fixed offshore installations, rig moving, marine warranty, dynamic positioning and construction supervision services. The company also offers transportation and installation as well as due diligence services.

Aqualis Offshore, which started operations last year, has also set up offices in London, UK (HQ); Sandefjord, Asker and Oslo, Norway; Houston, USA; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Singapore; Abu Dhabi and Dubai, UAE; Bahrain; and Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
