Logan announces formation of Logan Rental division

Oilfield Technology,

Logan International has consolidated its tool rental operations into a single business, Logan Rentals.

Initially, the group will offer fishing and coiled tubing jars for workover activities and drilling jars and its Xciter tool for drilling operations and will focus mostly on the North American market. Current locations include Houston and Alice, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Broussard, Louisiana; and Nisku, Alberta.

Glenn Gelder has been appointed Vice President of Logan Rentals. Gelder joined Logan in 2011 and has served as Director of Sales and Operations - Western Hemisphere and as a Product Line Manager.

President and CEO, David MacNeill stated: “The forming of our Rentals Division is in line with our quantified plan to reorganise the Logan operating units into three business divisions. All four products have experienced exceptional growth and our customers have continued to request broader rental access to Logan manufactured equipment.

“Combining Sup-R-Jar® drilling jars, Superior fishing jars, and Logan coiled tubing jars, with the Xciter tool gives us critical mass and will allow us to expand the business profitably to areas we currently are not servicing. As in our other operating units, we expect to expand the rental group’s current product offering and introduce them into new geographic markets with the addition of quality products to existing core businesses as opportunities are encountered.”
