No drilling in Ecuadorian Amazon reserve

Ecuador has pledged not to drill for oil in an area of pristine Amazon rainforest in exchange for US$ 3.6 billion worth of payments.

 

MC252 well finally reaches static condition

BP has announced that the MC252 well appears to have reached a static condition. The well pressure is now being controlled by the hydrostatic pressure of the drilling mud, which is the desired outcome of the static kill procedure carried out.

 

Linc Energy signs record deal with Adani Enterprises

In the largest single deal by an Indian company in Australia, Linc Energy has agreed to sell its Galilee Basin coal deposits to India’s Adani Enterprises in a deal worth up to AU$ 3 billion.
