Woodside Petroleum revises 2013 production target

Oilfield Technology,

Woodside Petroleum has revised its 2013 LNG production target range from 85 to 89  million barrels of oil equivalent (Mmboe). The company had previously published  a target range of 88 to 95 Mmboe.

The reduced production target has been caused by two factors.

Firstly, an unplanned shutdown of the LNG processing train at Pluto LNG has interrupted production there. Although production is expected to restart shortly. The result if the shutdown is a deferral of approximately 2 Mmboe of Woodside’s share of production.

The schedule drefurbishment of the Vincent FPSO vessel is going to longer than anticipated so production won’t restart until October 2013, this has led to a deferral of 1 Mmboe of Woddside’s share of production.
