Glencore and Xstrata merger delayed again
Glencore has said it will not complete its merger with Xstrata by 15 March, the deadline it had set in January as its “long stop date” for completing the deal, due to the ongoing regulatory process in China and the Xstrata court process. This is the third time the company has had to delay completion of the merger.
The merger has already been received conditional approval by the EU and South African regulators.
