Energy Software Intelligence Analytics (ESIA), a newly formed provider of strategic and business intelligence services, has announced the completion of the acquisition of Richmond Energy Partners Ltd.
Backed by specialist private equity company Energy Ventures, ESIA was formed in January 2015 to assemble a portfolio of businesses that deliver data, research, insight and transaction services for the global energy exploration and production markets and support services. ESIA acquired Hannon Westwood in January 2015 and then acquired Novas Consulting in July 2015. The latest acquisition of Richmond Energy Partners deepens ESIA’s coverage in the exploration and appraisal market.
Richmond Energy Partners was formed in 2006. Through its Wildcat Service, a leading comprehensive web-based database and suite of analytical tools, Richmond Energy Partners provides expert intelligence on international conventional oil and gas exploration for company strategy, business development and performance benchmarking. The addition of Richmond Energy Partners brings another dimension to ESIA’s existing offering.
Gavin Prise, Chairman of ESIA, said: “In Richmond Energy Partners we have found an exceptional team of internationally experienced individuals. REP’s offering is highly distinctive and in partnership with Hannon Westwood and Novas Consulting we will be able to further invest in enhanced products and services for our customer base. We welcome on board the Richmond Energy Partners team.”
Keith Myers, Managing Partner of Richmond Energy Partners, commented “Our proprietary Wildcat Service provides clients with a deep insight into the global exploration industry. As a part of the ESIA group, I believe we will be better positioned to further invest and develop the Wildcat Service and address our clients’ needs."
