TGS has commenced acquisition on a multi-client 3D Phase 4 survey offshore Brazil.

The survey is located in the western portion of the Santos Basin and works as a northwest extension of the existing TGS Santos 3D, covering approximately 5000 km2.

This multi-client 3D survey is one of the latest of several 3D and 2D surveys completed in Brazil. TGS currently holds over 447 500 km in 2D multi-client data and 69 500 km2 in 3D multi-client data in Brazil.

David Hajovsky, Executive Vice President of Western Hemisphere at TGS, commented, “We’re pleased to commence Phase 4 of this survey – further strengthening our data library and position in the Brazil Salt Basins. This data will contribute to our client’s efforts to further de-risk their investments in future bid rounds and partnership opportunities.”

Full volume fast track data will be available in March 2022 with final data expected in October 2022.
