Equinor granted permission to use mobile drilling facility

Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has given Equinor consent to use the Deepsea Atlantic mobile drilling facility for drilling and completion on the Tordis and Vigdis fields.

The consent applies to plugging, drilling and completion of wells using the Deepsea Atlantic mobile drilling facility. The facility is operated by Odfjell Drilling.

In addition, the PSA have given Aker BP consent to use the facilities at Skogul. The field is a subsea development tied to the Alvheim FPSO, via the Vilje South flowbase.

The use of Skogul comprises the start-up, operation, maintenance and all associated activities.
