SUEZ will also provide 1000 nanofiltration membranes for the FPSO vessels MV22 and MV24, deployed in the Santos basin. These new seawater sulfate removal membranes will reduce scale and corrosion in the injection well, thus optimizing enhanced oil recovery. To fully meet the needs of the oil exploration and production sector, which is growing fast in the region, SUEZ has invested over US$2.5 million to complete its range of solutions in Latin America with flammable chemical products to improve water and oil separation, production flows, and asset protection.
SUEZ will also inaugurate in early 2019, in Rio de Janeiro, an application development laboratory for the same industry sector, to test and offer tailor-made chemical solutions for the industrial players in the region.
