Corinth Pipeworks awarded two offshore projects by Subsea 7 for pipelines in the North Sea

Corinth Pipeworks Pipe Industry SA has announced that on 22nd and 23rd of February 2018, signed agreements with Subsea 7 to manufacture and supply steel pipes for two subsea tie-back projects to FPSOs operated by AkerBP in the Norwegian Sea.

The agreements cover polypropylene coated steel outer pipes for pipe-in-pipe flowlines for:

  • Skogul project – 14 in. linepipe for an 18 km gas pipeline.
  • Aerfugl project – 16 in. linepipe for a 21 km gas pipeline.

The pipes for the offshore pipeline will be manufactured in 2018 in Corinth Pipeworks’ HFI pipe mill located in Thisvi, Greece, and Subsea 7’s installation by reel-lay is scheduled in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
