Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority has given Equinor consent to use the Transocean Norge mobile drilling facility.

The consent applies to the drilling and completion of two wells on the Bauge field in production licence 348.

The activities are scheduled to begin in February 2020, and are expected to last around 120 days.

Transocean Norge is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the MMCS60 type. The facility was built in Singapore by Sembcorp Marine Ltd at the Jurong Shipyard (JSPL) between 2012 and 2016.
