WellSense has announced a strategic partnership with Precise Downhole Solutions, one of Canada’s leading fibre optic well surveillance specialists, to expand access to WellSense’s Fli technology solutions across Canada.
The partnership brings together Precise’s extensive experience in distributed fibre optic well surveillance and data analysis with WellSense’s lightweight and rigless, bare fibre technology. Together, the companies aim to provide Canadian operators with a powerful new approach to diagnosing complex well integrity challenges across diverse asset portfolios.
Precise recently completed its first Fli deployments in Alberta, successfully identifying annular well leaks associated with surface casing vent flow. The operations took advantage of Fli’s compact and efficient deployment approach and highly sensitive acoustic and temperature sensing, enabling detailed interpretation by Precise’s in-house analysts and the rapid delivery of accurate answers to the customer.
