22nd World Petroleum Congress
The 22nd World Petroleum Congress, to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on 09-13 July 2017 is the most attractive and reputable oil and gas industry event of the world, attracting more than 5,000 delegates and 600 exhibitors from 100 countries.
With the theme “Bridges to our Energy Future”, the 22nd World Petroleum Congress is addressing the changes in the industry within an unstable and uncertain world. Access to affordable, safe and reliable sources of energy will be a key factor in promoting economic development and well-being for humankind. Meeting future demand in a sustainable and socially responsible manner will require massive investments, leading edge technologies, the highest skilled human resources, and superior ethical business practices. The industry has to energise its professionals; in particular the youth, to become even more innovative in ensuring future growth.
The Congress focuses on four blocks:
- Block 1: Exploration and Production of Oil and Gas
- Block 2: Refining, Petrochemicals,Transportation and Marketing
- Block 3: Natural Gas Processing, Transportation and Markets
- Block 4: Sustainable Management of the Industry
The 22nd World Petroleum Congress will provide the platform for open dialogue to build bridges between consumers and producers, governments and industry, academia and financiers, leaders and society, in order to address these issues and present debates, developments and solutions for sustainable production and use of the world's energy resources.
