Pars Oil & Gas: South Pars 17B platform loaded

South pars SPD 17B belonging to the offshore areas of 17 & 18 phases of south pars was loaded at 8:30 a.m from the industrial yard of Isoico in Bandar Abbas in order to be installed in its sea position.

As reported by the public relation department of Pars Oil and Gas Company, it is expected that after the mooring operations of 17B platform on the floating carrier and its transportation to the tank position, the instalment operations of this platform would be done by 10 November.

The platform has the capability to pick and transport about 500 million ft3 of gas from the offshore areas of 17 & 18 phases to the land area of it.

17B platform like the other satellite platform of this project (18B) which was installed by August, is made by Iranian specialists of Isoico industrial yard in Bandar Abbas.

South Pars Oil and Gas Company has supervised the project appointed as the employer of the common field projects of South pars and as the representative of oil ministry and NIOC.

The exploitation of gas in 17 & 18 phases would be increased by 1 million ft3 after finalisation and operationalisation of these two satellite platforms.

With the complete operationalisation of the 17 & 18 phases of the South pars, the cultivation of 56 m3 of gas, 80 000 bbls of gas condensate, 400 MT of sulfur and the production of 1 million t of Ethan and 1.05 million t of liquid gas (propane and Bhutan) would be achieved.
