Cortez Subsea secures £1.5 million worth of North Sea contract wins
The Aberdeen based firm, Cortez Subsea, has completed the first phase of work on a North Sea FSPO reinforcement programme for contractor DOF Subsea.
The £1.5 million contract, for the provision of a powered reel drive system, tensioner and personnel for umbilical and flexible riser installation, includes a second phase which is due to begin later this year.
Cortez Subsea has secured a further contract for the recovery and decommissioning of three flexible production flowlines for Stork Technical Services.
The work, from the vessel Siem Stork for operations in the Central North Sea, is scheduled to complete in September 2013.
Time of Expansion
The wins come at a time of expansion for Subsea Cortez. The company has made significant investment in new equipment and technologies in the last 12 months, in addition to a new office complex to facilitate the growth of its employee base from 20 to 40 this year.

Cortez Subsea provides a range of subsea services and products to UK and international clients in the offshore energy industry. The company currently works in collaboration with FlexTech Engineering, DeepTech Oil Services, Offshore Technology Solution Ltd, and MCS to provide a broad range of specialties to its clients.
Cortez Subsea was established in 2010 and achieved turnover of over £3 million in 2012. It provides subsea services and technology products to the international oil and gas industry offering intervention, inspection, pipeline and installation. Cortez works with a number of collaborative partners combining assets and technical capabilities to provide an integrated service which is safe, efficient and cost-effective.
