Bilfinger Industrier Norge awarded €250 million contract from Statoil

Statoil has renewed the framework agreement with Bilfinger Industrier Norge for a number of North Sea production facilities and onshore plants on the Norwegian coast by a further two years under an option provided for in the contract signed in 2010. The renewal covers the period from August 2014 to July 2016 and is worth around €250 million for both years. As a result, the Norwegian Bilfinger company remains energy company Statoil’s largest service partner for insulation, scaffolding and surface treatment (painting), or in abbreviated form ISP.

Platforms in the oil and gas fields
The contract covers platforms in the Snorre, Oseberg, Heimdal, Huldra and Veslefrikk oil and gas fields off the southwestern coast of Norway as well as onshore facilities north of Bergen near Sture and Kollsnes.

“This is a day of joy for Bilfinger Industrier Norge as the renewal confirms Statoil’s trust in us,” says Bjørn Harald Celius, the company’s CEO.

Bilfinger Industrier Norge specialises in offshore business in the Norwegian North Sea, offering ISP services including access technique and passive fire protection. One key determinant for its success in this segment is the ability to satisfy extremely high work safety requirements.
