Cudd Energy Services
Cudd Energy Services (CES) is a leading provider of innovative technology in well intervention and completion applications. With a commitment to excellence in service and performance, CES provides solutions that improve work efficiencies, manage risks, and enhance resource recovery.
With eight employees and a hydraulic snubbing unit, Bobby Joe Cudd founded Cudd Pressure Control in 1977 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Specialising in well firefighting and well control in Western Oklahoma, we quickly expanded into Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1978. In 1979, CPC acquired several companies to expand into Texas and Louisiana.
In 1980, Rollins Inc. acquired CPC and merged it into its oilfield services group that already included Patterson Services and Patterson Tubular. In 1984, Rollins Inc. created a spin-off consisting of Patterson and CPC called RPC Energy Services.
From 1986 through 1995, operations expanded through acquisitions and improved market conditions; well firefighting in Kuwait in the early 1990s provided tremendous international exposure and growth for the company. In 1996, RPC Energy Services was renamed RPC Inc.
In 2000, the company expanded into the pressure pumping market with the formation of Cudd Pumping Services, offering well acid and fracturing services in East Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. With the acquisition of Freemayer Technical Services, CES extended its service offering into the Permian Basin region of West Texas and eastern New Mexico.
Cudd Pressure Control and Cudd Pumping Services now operate as an integrated oil and gas field service provider under the marketing name Cudd Energy Services (CES). With over 2000 employees in more than 60 markets, the company's service capabilities include stimulation, coiled tubing, e-coil, hydraulic workover, nitrogen, slickline/braided line, electric line, industrial nitrogen, water management, well control, and special services.
